Matt Smith is a suspiciously plain-sounding name!

Yeah, I figure I should get around to using these 102 userpics, and this is the most amusing Doctor Who icon I have onhand so...

I saw that "New Doctor Bingo" thing before I found out about this; in fact the only reason I found out was because I suddenly noticed a new section on the Doctor Who Image Archive. And by god, he really does look like a sparkly vampire. Might be the rampant airbrushing though, feh.

But I mean, hopefully he's not gonna look like this for the show, right? He's not gonna be the Doctor for a year so surely they haven't settled upon his final look, right? [info]jaclynhyde noted there was a square for "He doesn't look enough like Tennant", but none for "He looks too much like Tennant". Because yeah, another young guy, wearing Nine's sweater and Ten's suit jacket, but in black? Playing it a little too safe, methinks. C'mon, where's the Doctor's old fashion habits? Two incarnations is enough of a slump. Bring back his anachronistic aristocracy! His awesomely eccentric accessorizing! No, Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars are not eccentric. Not in first decade of this millennium.

Seriously, this photo looks like a Photoshopped morph of Tennant and Eccleston! Gah! And I do kinda miss the older Doctors... Wouldn't have to be Pertwee or Hartnell's age, middle-aged is fine...

But looks can change. And age really doesn't matter. As for what kind of actor he is? Hell, I don't know. I don't really follow actors - people point at a movie and say "Hey, there's Suchnblah! He was in Titleofotherfilm!" and I'm like, "Bwuh?" Anyway, it's not like they've gone wrong picking one yet though, so I'll figure out if I like him or not when I see the eleventh Doctor in action.

Of course, I think the ideal candidate for the role would be me, a young not-overly-attractive Asian-American female with no formal acting training beyond high school drama who's never been to England (but I kinda like the Beatles*). The greatest obstacle, of course, would be the "American" bit. Heh.

A girl's gotta have dreams, right?

Time's growing short, though. They're on 11 of 13! I mean, I'm sure they'll find away around that (probably for moneys), but... Well, I'll settle for playing an incarnation of Susan in a spinoff, then.

A girl's gotta have dreams.

I doubt I could pull off Romana; and Iris Wildthyme just scares me. XD

It's not as though I really had anyone I absolutely would've loved to see as the Doctor (other than me) anyway... well, okay. One of the names on the completely arbitrary, randomly-rumored lists was Sean Pertwee. I was kindasorta rooting for him I guess.

So anyway. Blah blah blah Doctor Who.

*songquote!
